Community
Our Community Committee focuses on helping our community here in Winston-Salem and the surrounding area.
We have an adopted highway we maintain off on North Point Blvd. At least four times a year we clean it up after meeting for some fellowship and breakfast traditionally at the McDonalds.
Our Community Committee helps with the Special Olympics and also the Challenger Baseball Program in Clemmons.
We show appreciation to our widows who had husbands who were Knights as well as our Religious. Our priests, sisters, and widows are invited to an appreciation brunch typically in the spring. They all do so much for us, this is the least we can do.
We have helped with the Breakfast with Santa Program for over 10 years now. This is a program that helps families with mentally or physically handicapped children enjoy a holiday breakfast and some time with their favorite Christmas gift giver.
We reach out to St Benedict the Moor Parish as well. While they do not have a Knights of Columbus Council of their own, we do what we can to help them out when help is needed.
